Rolex Datejust 6305 Ovettone
Spotted: true killer Rolex Datejust 6305 Ovettone in pink gold.
This is what it’s all about! Stunning details like the arrow-head markers, alpha hands and rim around the date – not to speak of this watch being pink gold!

Rolex Datejust 16013 Cummings
Spotted: Rolex Datejust 16013 with Cummings logo dial.
In years long past, Rolex used to make quite a few company dials.. Commemorative pieces, often printed in the US. In fact, I have a folder of this practice around here somewhere – will look it up.
The above Datejust was awarded for a 25-year anniversary to one of Cummings (engine builders) employees and comes with provenance. Cool piece.

The recent Christie’s sale was quite mindblowing – I watched a good portion of it via the live stream at Christie’s website and was rather smitten by the results.
Whilst browsing I came across a nice read on Hodinkee.com about the auction – check it out at http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/that-time-a-rolex-explorer-sold-for-182000

I have posted a few of these – you might be thinking they’re not rare. But trust me: they are… And exceedingly cool if I may add! This example has a stunning galvanic black doorstop dial and some killer hands.
